If you are meeting Sustalent Hub for the first time, here is how we would introduce ourselves in a single sentence:

Sustalent Hub is a community where sustainability professionals connect, learn, and support one another.

We want this to be more than a place to exchange information — it is a space where sustainability professionals can talk openly, get to know each other, and find genuine support.

Why Does Sustalent Hub Exist?

Sustalent Hub was born from a very simple observation:

Many sustainability professionals seem to have very few people they can truly talk to at work.

Sustainability work often requires cross-departmental communication, keeping up with policies and regulations, tracking international trends, and managing the expectations of different internal teams. Much of the time, doing this job well is not simply a matter of "knowing sustainability" — it demands constantly finding balance among ideals, reality, organisational dynamics, and the day-to-day push of projects.

Yet when we genuinely feel lost, we often have no idea who to ask.

People looking to enter the sustainability field may not know where to take their first step. Those already working in sustainability may lack a peer group to discuss real, on-the-ground challenges. Companies trying to find sustainability talent may not know how to reach people who are genuinely passionate and capable in this space.

So we started to wonder:

If there were a place where sustainability professionals could gather — to talk about work, share confusion, discuss careers, and speak honestly about the feelings only people in this field really understand — would the road feel a little less lonely?

That is the reason Sustalent Hub exists.

What the Name "Sustalent Hub" Means

We want Sustalent Hub to feel like a warm home for sustainability professionals.

Here, you do not need to present yourself as exceptional, or pretend you already have all the answers. You might be someone just beginning to explore a sustainability career, or a seasoned practitioner working in a corporation, consultancy, research institution, NGO, or solutions provider.

We believe that everyone on the sustainability path will face different kinds of confusion and need at different stages. Some people need information; some need direction; some need connections; some simply need to know: I am not the only one dealing with this.

That is why we want Sustalent Hub to be more than a "community" — we want it to be a support system for sustainability professionals.

Who Is Sustalent Hub For?

Sustalent Hub currently serves three main groups.

1. People Looking to Enter the Sustainability Field

You might be a student, a career changer, or someone exploring different paths — ESG, carbon management, sustainability consulting, corporate sustainability, social innovation, and more. You may not yet know which direction suits you best, or where to start preparing. That is perfectly fine. There are many fellow travellers here who can walk alongside you as you figure it out.

2. People Already Working in Sustainability

You might work in a corporate ESG department, a consultancy, carbon inventory and management, a government body or research institution, an NGO, a social-innovation organisation, or a sustainability solutions company. You may already have a wealth of hands-on experience, or you may be facing a range of challenges in your current role. Sustalent Hub aims to be a place where you can exchange experience, share resources, and connect with peers across different parts of the field.

3. Organisations Looking to Engage Sustainability Talent

Sustainability transformation is not only about strategy and reports — it requires people who can actually make things happen. Sustalent Hub wants to serve as a bridge between talent and organisations, so that great job opportunities, collaboration possibilities, and project needs can be seen by the right people.

What Is Sustalent Hub Doing Right Now?

Sustalent Hub now has more than 2,000 members, making it one of the most active sustainability communities in Taiwan. Our members come from highly diverse backgrounds, including:

• Sustainability consulting
• Carbon management and inventory
• Government and research institutions
• Social innovation and NGOs
• Job seekers and students
• Sustainability solutions providers of all kinds

The community currently operates primarily on LINE, and we also share sustainability career content, event information, and community updates via our website and Instagram.

Beyond online exchange, we place great importance on in-person events. Last November, we hosted our first Networking Event, which attracted more than 60 participants. The energy in the room was remarkable, and many people said they were thrilled to finally meet sustainability professionals from different backgrounds — and to feel, for once, that they were not walking this road alone.

We have also held job briefings, and there have been community members who landed actual job opportunities through those events. That matters deeply to us, because it shows that the community is not just about conversation — it can genuinely create career connections and change.

What Can You Get from Sustalent Hub?

We hope that by joining Sustalent Hub, you will be able to:

But we believe that when a group of people who care about sustainability — and who are actively doing the work — come together, they help each other move with more steadiness and go further.
